How Many: Reading Paths.

This is a page of suggestions for a scientific culture for all, and we humbly want to contribute our own selection of readings.
A very partial list, influenced by personal taste, of popular books we know, with preference for those also translated into Italian, which we have already reviewed or will review in detail in the future.
It might be useful to someone since so much hogwash is also being published on this topic, both in bookstores and on the web and social media. In fact, today it is fashionable to slip in the word “quantum” or “quantumistic” to support the worst of the “new age” philosophy rubbish, the pseudosciences passed off as medicine and psychology, all kinds of philosophical fluff and mind-fuck.
The list of books and resources, due to its length, has been broken into many parts:
First look-introductions for all and accessible readings to answer questions such as: what is quantum physics and what is its purpose? What impact does it have in science, technology and everyday life? can essential concepts be explained without knowing more advanced mathematics?
History and Ideas - history and philosophy of quantum theory, and a question: why doesn’t anyone understand quantum physics?
Condensed matter - how quantum physics together with statistical physics explains the structure of matter, physical properties of condensed states of matter, which on the one hand help to understand the behavior of complex systems in all branches of science and knowledge, and on the other lead to the technological developments that revolutionized the 20th century, to the practical applications we use every day
Fields and particles - popular and informal introductions to quantum field theory and its applications in the physics of elementary particles and fundamental forces
In-depth - intermediate texts between popular ones and university textbooks for specialists, require some extra effort and some mathematical background, but they are still informal expositions intended for educated onlookers, self-taught, early college students, graduate students in scientific or technical disciplines other than physics.
Quantum computers - popular, introductory and advanced texts on the next technological revolution in computing quantum, quantum cryptography and quantum information processing
Advanced textbooks - the best university texts and classic treatises on the subject
